A host of real life stories from Mums-to-Be, families and friends sharing their joyful Baby Shower experience
Hi there,
I'm Niamh and I run www.babyshower.ie, to start the ball rolling I thought I would share with you a little about my baby shower that my sister's and Mum threw for me last July.
We had a wonderful day and got such fab weather that we decided to
have the party in the garden, so the bbq was turned on, drinks put on chill & sun cream
applied! Without me knowing, my sisters managed to raid the Baby Shower stock room and decorated the garden beautifully with ballons, banners and confetti.
My friends brought their children along too and it was so lovely to see the little ones running around the garden. My talented sister was on hand with the face paints for the kids so it meant they were entertained whilst their mums could relax and enjoy some food and drinks in peace!
My family and friends were so kind and I received lots of beautiful
gifts for my baby. Essential baby products were presented in hampers,
I received some beautiful knitted baby cardigans and a gorgeous
homemade patchwork quilt for when baby gets a bit bigger.I was really
overwhelmed by peoples generosity and had such a fun day catching up with family
and friends. I would recommend throwing a baby shower for a sister or good friend because it really is such a lovely day to look back on and a chance to catch up
with friends and family before baby arrives. My baby boy was born early 3 weeks later
and we called him Milo.
Above is a picture of me at my baby shower with my bump and here is a picture of me with my gorgeous baby Milo in one of those cute cardigans!
Niamh x
